Area police office Khilatpur in Western Dang arrested a young man for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl in her own house. One other youth who was also involved in committing the rape is on the run. The arrested was identified as 19-year-old Manoj Dangi of Dhanauri-9. The other accused in the incident has been identified as Krishna Bista. Police launched a manhunt to nab him. Based on the police's annual report it was found that incidents of sexual and gender-based violence have increased in Dang over the past twelve months.
