A driver and conductor of a public vehicle were arrested by the Police in Dang on the charges of raping a woman passenger at around 7:am on Tuesday evening. 19-year-old driver, Santosh Pandey from Githepani in Ghorahi municipality-6, and the 30-year-old conductor Sher Bahadur Khatri from Laxmipur-2 are being held in custody for further investigation. According to spokesperson Ranjit Singh Rathaur of DPO Dang, the number plate of the vehicle was not made public since the incident is still under investigation. The two arrested had reportedly raped the woman passenger by stopping the vehicle in a nursery in Laxmipur-6.
