Police have confiscated conflict era weapons from former Maoist combatants from a tea shop in Tokha in Kathmandu. On the basis of a tip-off a team of police deployed from Metropolitan Police circle, Maharajgunj arrested the two men in possession of a homemade pistol from Tokha. The arrested have been identified as Durga Singh Gurung of Waling, Syangja, and Binod Kattel from Solukhumbu. Kattel is a former Maoist combatant. The confiscated weapon was labelled CPNM indicating that it was a conflict era weapon.
