Nepal Women Association, Revolutionary Women Union opposed the release of a culprit on bail by the District Court in Sindhuli. 58 years old Som Bahadur Rai had been arrested in a rape case of a 9-year-old girl. The Women's Union opposed the district court decision of releasing the accused on bail, even though Rai himself accepted his guilt and all evidence clearly pointed to him as the perpetrator.
