Police said they have seized a cache of explosives at Khandbari, the district headquarters of Sankhuwasabha. According to police, 290 detonator caps, 100 pieces of gelatin, 71 meters of fuse wire, and 10 grams of sulfur were found in a jeep that had come from Tumlingtar. When the vehicle was stopped for regular security check at Dholbaje on Sunday, the Biratnagar-based Eastern Regional Police Officer said, a man jumped off the jeep and escaped. Later, police found the explosives in his bag that was left behind. The bag contained some documents and a diary also, according to police. Based on the information milked from the documents, police have launched an investigation and are trying to get hold of the suspect.
