The business people and workers have been forced to feel the pinch of the indefinite bandh called by Joint Democratic Madhesi Morcha, Tharu Struggle Committee and Federal Madhesi Front.
The bandh, going on for the last nine days, appears to continue for days. The business people running their business with borrowed money are concerned about their slow business.
While the business community is reeling from lack of transaction, the workers employed in those businesses are facing financial hardships.
District headquarters Jaleshwor, which used to have daily transaction of Rs 40 million is having daily loss of Rs 1.2 million, Jaleshwar Chamber of Commerce and Industries chairperson Kripashanakr Sah informed.
The business community of Bardibas, Matihani, Ramgopalpur, Samsi, Gaushala and Aurahi is also having daily loss of Rs 7.5 million as it daily business of Rs 1.5 million is affect, Sah added.
The public life has also been getting more difficult as the bandh continues. The vehicular moves to and from Jaleshwar and major commercial centres shut.
Meanwhile in Dhanusha, the public life is getting harder due to bandh called by Joint Democratic Madhesi Morcha. A rally was held in Janakpur supporting the agitation.
