The cadres of the agitating Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha (SLMM) took an ambulance of the Parijat Hospital at Bardibash, Mahottari under their control on Thursday. The ambulance with the unidentified number plate was returning Bardibas from Samshi border point in the district. The agitators held possession of the ambulance at Nigaulchowk in Gaushala Municipality-8, claiming it to be ferrying food items, according to the Area Police Office, Bardibas. The agitators, who have been staging sit-in protest and shutdown in the Nigaulchowk, found the ambulance carrying sack of onions and potatoes, shared Chandeshwar Yadav, Police Inspector. Police have urged the local leaders of SLMM not to vandalize the ambulance.
