Police in Taplejung district on Friday arrested a woman who was on Nepal Police’s most wanted list. Mana Kumari Chongwang (33) was arrested with explosives from Ikhabu VDC of Taplejung district today. Police deployed from the Taplejung District Police Office nabbed Chongwang, one of the members of Deumaan Limbu (Harahang) group, with a huge cache of explosives from a cow shed in the remote village of Ikhabu VDC, Taplejung. Chief of Taplejung District Police Office, DSP Shanti Raj Koirala, said that police confiscated four loaded guns, a pistol, a homemade gun, three mobile sets, steel pipes used to make pipe bombs, electric wires and other explosives from the cow shed. According to Koirala, the Harahang group is involved in transaction of various weapons and explosives in different VDCs of the Taplejung district.
