Police arrested 31-year-old Bhuwan Acharya of Arghatos VDC-6 on the charges of polygamy on November 1. Acharya married 19-year-old Sapana Acharya of Arghatos VDC as his second wife one year ago in India. His 29-year-old first wife Sita Acharya filed a complaint at the District Police Office on the charges of polygamy against him on October 31. Mother of two daughters, Sita filed the complaint when her husband came  back home from India during the Dashain festival. Based on the complaint, the couple were been arrested. Further investigation is ongoing regarding the case, said Inspector Yubraj Timilsina of the District Police Office.
