Police arrested 32-year-old Purna Bahadur Thada of Kalyan VDC-1 at Chinchu on November 19 on the charges of killing a 10-year-old after rape. The girl was found dead at a stream in a jungle about one km away from her home. She left home to buy some goods. The family of the victim filed a complaint at the Area Police Office Chinchu on November 17. In-charge of the APO Chhinch Bharat Kumar Chaudhary said that post-mortem of the deceased was conducted at Regional Hospital in Surkhet on November 15. Police suspected murder as the deceased sustained injuries in her body. Inspector Chaudhary said that investigation was ongoing into the incident.
