Rita Giri, 28, of Pokhare in Sangachok VDC-9 has been critically injured after her husband Rajaram Giri, 29, beat her in the evening on December 10. Injured Rita is undergoing treatment at Chautara Hospital. The victim filed a complaint at the District Police Office on December 11. Inspector Kedar Basnet said that the victim underwent medical check-up and treatment at Chautara Hospital. He said that police had been deployed in the incident site to arrest the accused. The victim said that she was beaten with a firewood stick in the head, back and different parts of the body.
