Police have arrested a man accused of attempting to rape a BBS student in Kathmandu by luring her with the false promise of employment. Aman Raj Shrestha, a resident of Kalanki allegedly attempted rape on the BBS student by taking her to a hotel near Seto Gumba on November 3. He had been on the run following the incident. Police arrested Shrestha on December 18 from Kalanki and have initiated further proceedings into the case. Metropolitan Police Circle Anamnagar has kept Shrestha in custody and charged him under the Rape Act.
