The District Court has slapped 6 years jail term to Ram Kumar Rai alias Kanchha, 30, of Danabari VDC-9 for raping a 26-year-old woman with a disability. A bench of Judge Nabaraj Dahal convicted Rai according to the Number 5 of Chapter on Rape of the General Code. Shrestedar Jagadishwor Bhattarai of the District Court said that Rai was sentenced for 3 and half years for rape and an additional 2 and half years for raping a woman with a disability. Police had arrested him on October 20 on the charge of raping the woman on October 18. The victim underwent a medical check-up at the District Hospital on October 19. The victim's family filed a complaint at the District Police Office on October 19.
