Workers expressed solidarity with the ongoing Madhes agitation and organised a mass demonstration called by the United Democratic Madhesi Front with the initiative of Madhesi Trade Union Federation Nepal Parsa in Birgunj on Sunday. Supporting the Tarai agitation, the workers of Birgunj-Pathlaiya corridor began the rally from Powerhouse of Birgunj and turned into an assembly after reaching Miteri Bridge. Chairman Pradip Yadav, central member Karima Begam of Federal Socialist Forum Nepal, Parsa, Madhesi Trade Union Federation Chairman Paltan Thakur, among other leaders, addressed the mass. The front has made public more protest programmes after talks with the government were fruitless.
