Parents of students from Durga Higher Secondary school in Baitadi have indefinitely padlocked the school demanding the formation of a new school management committee on Friday. The dispute had ensued when a meeting of the school management committee held on June 4, 2015, had decided to form a new school management committee through an election. The issue has remained contentious since then. Locals said that they were compelled to padlock the school after their grievances were not heard even by the District Education Office and local political parties. They have vowed to continue the padlocking until their demands are met.
