49-year-old Birbal Budha, a resident of Thawang-9 VDC in Rolpa has murdered his 31-year-old wife Sita Budha by hitting her head with a beer bottle during a domestic dispute. Although the incident occurred on February 20, police came to know about it only on February 26. After murdering his wife on February 20 Birbal buried his wife at a jungle in Mahat-5 VDC of Rukum saying to the villagers that she died after falling from the cliff. After being informed about the incident on February 26 Police exhumed the deceased's body on February 27 and sent it to the district hospital for post-mortem. Rolpa District Police Office chief Ramesh Thapa informed that they found injury marks on the deceased's head. Birbal is being held in the custody of police for further investigation.
