Three held with 2,400 litres of illegal petro products

Police on Tuesday seized a tanker loaded with 2,400 litres of illegal petroleum products from a scrap store in Kamal Nagar of Bharatpur Sub-Metropolitan City-4. Acting on a tip-off, police deployed from the Ward Police Office, Narayangarh, under the command of Inspector Satya Narayan Thapa carried out a raid at the scrap store owned by 30-year-old Tanka Thapa and confiscated 2,100 litres of diesel and 300 litres of petrol at around 10 pm yesterday. Thapa further informed that they have arrested the operator of the scrap store and his accomplices 21-year-old Suraj Bohara of Bharatpur Sub-Metropolitan City and Suman Bishwokarma of Kabila's-2. Police said that they have also confiscated Rs 52,000 in cash from their possession. Police said that they have impounded the truck with bearing number plate Na 1 Ka 3104.
