Family of 31-year-old Sushila Devi Yadav of Sothiyain VDC-1 has filed a complaint against three persons at the Area Police Office, Lahan on April 2. According to the victim, 55-yer-old Janak Yadav, 50-year-old Kanak Lal Yadav alias Phanak and 21-year-old Dinesh Yadav of same place assault and verbally abuse her accusing her of being a witch when their family members take ill or the buffalo does not give milk. Mahabir Yadav, father of the victim said that the accused beat her on March 31 on the same charge. Injured Sushila underwent treatment in Saptarishi Hospital in Lahan the same day. DSP Raj Kumar KC of the APO Lahan said that necessary action would be taken after the investigation.
