The Naya Shakti Nepal staged a sit-in calling for an end to corruption in the country. The new political force led by former Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai held the protest program near the Bhadrakali temple. Members of the Naya Shakti called for an end to rampant black marketeering and price hike and speeding up of the post-quake reconstruction work. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Bhattarai accused both the ruling and opposition parties of playing a mute spectator to the rising rate of corruption in the country.
