Police arrested 32 years old Chan Bahadur Bista of Narahari Nath Rural Municipality-1 and Narendra Bista, 28 of the same place on January 7 on charge of discriminating and beating 57 years old Dilli Kami of the same place.

The victim’s party had lodged complaint at District Police Office against the accused duo on January 7. DSP Binod Sharma of DPO said that they will be charged under the caste-based discrimination act if found guilty.

The victim’s party have accused that they misbehaved and beaten him in a public place on charge of not coming to work. He sustained head, chest, eyes and facial injuries and receiving treatment at District Hospital of Kalikot,

On January 8, the victim organized a press conference and informed about the incident. DSP Sharma said that the legal process has been initiated after registering the complaint. If found guilty, the accused will be sentence for three years with Rs 25,000 penalty.
