Police arrested Lok Bahadur Buda of Dhorpatan Municipality-5 on January 24 on charge of caste-based-discrimination on 51 years old Om Bahadur Rasaili of Nishikhola Rural Municipality-2.

The accused had managed separate place for Dalit and non-Dalit people during the marriage on January 23. However, he chased the victim on charge of entering into the marriage ceremony of non-Dalit. A complaint against him was lodged by victim at Area Police Office of Burtibang on January 24.

Inspector Om Prakash Dahal said that the legal process has been initiated by the police. The constitution of Nepal has prohibited any kinds of discrimination based on caste, race or gender.
