Locals of Sunwal municipality ward 7 and 8 pelted stones at local representatives over the issue of construction of a hospital. A police vehicle and a car were damaged and Spokesperson of the municipality, Krishna Devkota, was injured in the incident.
The locals in the leadership of Basantaraj Dahal and Nilkantha, ward chairpersons of ward 7 and 8 staged a demonstration protesting the plan to build a hospital in a different place. According to the initial plan, the hospital would be built in ward no. 8.
Police were trying to escort Municipality Chairperson Bhim Bahadur Thapa, Vice-Chairperson Dadhiram Aryal and Spokesperson Devkota when the locals pelted stones at them. A police vehicle and a ward chairperson's car were damaged in the incident.
