Locals and businessmen of Janakpur halted Bhanu Chowk of Janakpur agitating against concerned authority's reluctance to improve the road condition. They demanded for the immediate action to improve the road condition so as to check the worsening condition in monsoon shortly. This is due to lack of proper plan to drain out water as Aggregated Town Development in Janakpur program funded by Asian Development Bank (ADB) is underway. As the water accumulates on road, the movement has been difficult. जनकपुरको भानु चौकका व्यापारीहरुले चौकमा विगत केही दिनदेखि हिलो देखिए पनि सडक सुधार नगरेको भन्दै चौकमा सडक जाम गरेर प्रदर्शन गरेका थिए । वर्षामा चौकमा हिड्ने अवस्था पनि नहुने गरेको बताउँदै तत्काल सडक सुधारको माग गरेका थिए । एशियाली विकास बैकको ऋण सहयोगमा जनकपुरमा लागु भएको एकिकृत शहरी विकास आयोजनाको कामकाज भएका कारणले पानीको निकास नभइ सडकमा हिलो तथा पानी जमेकाले आवग जावतमा नै कठिनाई भएको छ ।
