Teachers of Community schools in Sabaila municipality of Dhanusha padlocked the office of the municipality on Sunday citing that they have not received their salaries since the past 5 months.

The teachers said that the municipality office had ignored their requests to release salaries although they had requested it before Dashain. They also said that although they submitted a memorandum to municipality chairperson Bijaya Shankar demanding salary, the municipality had ignored it. 

Around 250 teachers work at 5 Secondary and 37 Primary community schools in the municipality.
