A silent protest was started from Damak of Jhapa against the decision of the government to increase a 10 percent tax on imported books. Students , teachers, actors, and literary figures gathered at the main chowk of Damak and started reading books as a part of peaceful protest. The participants of the silent protest demanded to dismiss the decision of tax increment on books.
