Employees of Charikot hospital have been agitated after the hospital removed 37 employees. The hospital fired 37 employees, citing the lack of budget during the lockdown. The hospital is being managed by an NGO called Nyaya Health. 

The fired workers started the agitation putting forward 9 points demands. They alleged that the hospital fired them without fulfilling even the minor criteria for dismissal and have discriminated against and mistreated lower-level employees. They also demanded the resignation of Binod Dangal, Head of health services at Nyaya Health and Medical Director of the hospital.
