Part-time professors padlocked the office of Ram Prasad Upadhyaya, Campus Chief of Dhaulagiri Multiple Campus on August 9 issuing a statement, and have demanded newly appointed Tribhuvan University officials address their demands immediately.
The Nepal Part-time Professors' Association has been demanding that those who have been teaching part-time for a long time should be appointed on contract. There are currently 39 part-time professors in Dhaulagiri Multiple Campus.
They complained that they are yet to receive salary since March and have warned to padlock the classrooms and the accounting department of the campus if their demands are unmet.
