A 16-year-old girl was allegedly sexually abused by three persons on November 16 including 30-year-old Manoj Bishwakarma, a wage earner at Bode Bersain Municipality-5. According to the victim’s brother, the victim was forcibly taken to a garden and sexually abused. Shambhunanda Chaudhary, president of NGO Federation Saptari, informed that the accused fled after the girl started trembling with fear and her family members and villagers found her in an unconscious state.
The victim is undergoing treatment at Rajbiraj-based hospital. According to SP Rajendra Prasad Dhamala of the District Police Office, the accused's motorcycle, victim's shawl and hair clip were found in the spot of the incident. The family of the victim stated that they will lodge a complaint at the District Police Office on November 18 and are consulting with legal practitioners.
