Three policemen sustained injuries after being attacked by fish vendors selling fish in Murli Pokhari of Birgunj on Friday evening. Junior police Arbindar Kusaha, Sikendra Sah, and Devilal Sah were injured when fish vendors who were selling fish defying the lockdown measure attacked them while requesting them to not create a crowd. According to inspector Dinesh Gautam of Shripur, police personnel, Kusaha sustained a serious injury in the attack. The injured police were taken to ward police office after undergoing treatment at Tarai hospital.
Police have arrested 10 persons on the charge of being involved in the attack, informed DSP Om Prakash Khanal. Police are further investigating the incident.
