The service at the health post at Katunje of Municipality Ward No. 5 was temporarily halted after youngsters who were not in the age bracket for Covid-19 vaccination assaulted the health workers by lining up in the queue. They even vandalized the health post.

Health sectors since June 7 started giving the Chinese vaccine Verocell to the age group of 60 to 64. But in Katunje, people in the age group of 25 to 30 years also came to get vaccinated and forced health workers to vaccinate them.

After being threatened and pressured, the health worker informed the district health coordinator and postponed the vaccination. Vaccination has now started with the help of the police.
