People's representatives' stage symbolic protest by planting millet on the muddy road. Transport entrepreneurs and locals, including Ram Sharan Adhikari, chairman of Gorkha Municipality Ward No. 4, blocked the Gorkha-Arughat road on July 29 demanding to blacktop the road.
A passenger bus was stranded on the Dhungagade section of the main road from Gorkha Bazaar to Arughat due to mud. Even motorcycles get stuck on this road. Road construction was ignored due to the negligence of the construction businessmen who were given the responsibility of road construction.
