Teachers stage demonstration in Janakpur demanding increase in salary and allowance

Teachers and employees of Child development and School staged a demonstration in Janakpurdham sub-metropolitan office on September 16, demanding distribution of salary and allowance which is pending since July.
They protested demanding an increase in the salary allowance of all school staff and child development teachers working in the Janakpurdham sub-metropolis with effect from August. The demonstrators allege that the Janakpurdham sub-metropolis didn't implement the decision of the Supreme Court regarding the rights and services of community school employees, the salary was not increased as well.

Ram Hridaya Yadav, the Chairman of the Movement Mobilization Committee, demanded that the monthly salary of accountants should be Rs.18,500 and Child development teachers and office assistants should have Rs.15,000 monthly salary.  According to the protestors, the monthly salary of Rs.6,000 was not enough for them to even afford food.

Teachers and employees of Child development and School staged a sit-in in Janakpurdham sub-metropolitan office for 2 hours in during the festivals as well. The demonstrates complained that even though the government has increased their salary, they have not got any.
