Doctors, health workers and staff of Beni Hospital staged a demonstration after they were not paid the salary for 3 months in a row even during the festival is near. Due to demonstration, the non-emergency service of the 64-bed hospital's services that is outpatient, LAB, eye treatment, X-ray and other medical treatment services, as well as administrative work, have been halted.
Mandevi Gautam, a nurse complained that their repeated requests to the accounting department through the hospital administration and management committee were not heard that is why they have to stage a demonstration for the salary because the festivals are near. Due to the demonstration, the general patients who have come for services have been affected.
Kolenika has been appointing an accountant in Beni Hospital under the Gandaki state government. Jitendra Kadel, the chief physician of the hospital, said that the ministry had split in the first month of the fiscal year and the arrival of the authority was delayed. Accountant Subedi said that he was in charge of three offices and the team of the Auditor General was working to pay the salary despite the delay.
