Workers of Saurya Cement Industry in Mirchaiya of Siraha have been agitating. Workers in the industry have agitated putting forward 12 points demands including that there should be safety measures for workers in the industry, local workers should be hired on the basis of efficiency, only 8 hours should be employed, leave should be given one day in a week, salary allowance should be provided on the basis of work and efficiency, first aid should be provided for workers inside the industry.

Mohit Mahara, the civil supervisor of the industry, said that they are agitating against the dismissal of old workers and the recruitment of new workers.
