Police arrested 12 contractual teachers on November 25 who padlocked the Dean's office of Rajshree Janak University at Janakpurdham and staged a sit-in protest in the university premises. The teachers had also padlocked the Dean's office some months back stating that the fund apprised for recruiting teachers was used for another purpose.
However, the lock was broken then, which led the teachers to do padlock the Dean's office again on Thursday morning. The police team deployed from District Police Office-Dhanusa released the teachers after taking them in control for 2 hours.
