Locals staged a demonstration at Dhangadhi Airport on December 20 in protest of the land being demarcated as 'unauthorized' for Dhangadhi Airport. Locals protested with slogans after cement pillars were buried in the area about a kilometre south and east of the airport without informing the landowners. In case they said that they are not even aware of the airport office and the local administration, who, for what purpose, has lined up their land. T

Locals have demanded to take action against Ram Krishna Bhatt, the chief of the airport office. Chief Bhatta said that he had informed the Chief District Officer about the matter and added that the person marking the land has not been identified yet. The locals started protesting after seeing the pillars being erected on the south and east side of the airport office on December 18 asking for land acquisition. However, the airport officials said that it came to know about the matter only after the locals informed about it and said that the office was not involved in it.
