Youths of Ward 3 in Devghat rural municipality of Tanahun district have publicly humiliated the accountant of the rural municipality Umanath Dhakal and Deputy-accountant Sanjaya Sharma by smearing them black soot on their faces accusing them of refusing to release the payments for the solar water lifting project work by asking for various documents on December 26. The group also allegedly physically assaulted the employees of the rural municipality. According to incharge of Area Police Office Devghat senior sub-inspector Bheshraj Regmi, police immediately reached the rural municipality office to rescue the two. They also took the assailants into control and released them on December 26 evening.
