Koshi Province Renaming Struggle Committee has padlocked the offices of local levels in Taplejung as a part of their protest program. According to the struggle committee it has padlocked Phaktanglung rural municipality and Phungling municipality's gate. It has also claimed to have padlocked the offices of some other rural municipalities and wards. The struggle committee has been demanding to rename Koshi province and declare Padam Limbu martyr who was killed during a clash with police in Biratnagar.
