Rally was held today calling for peace and harmony with major slogans, "Let us maintain harmony" and "End Bandh" in Pokhara. There was the participation of various political parties, industrialists, businessmen, mother groups, clubs, and the tourism industry in the rally called by Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The participants carried placards with slogans; Find Alternative to Bandh, Let Live, Announce Schools as Peace Areas, and so on. In an assembly held after the rally, President of Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Bindu Kumar Thapa said that 99% of the public do not want strikes and bandh. He added that 99% of people are suffering because of 1% of them. He requested all the participants to be united against bandhas and defy them regardless of who the imposing party is.
