Four of the families from Rishi Dev (Musahar) community living a squatter life in Budhiganga Rural Municipality-2 have lodged complaint at Police Office complaining that they have been deprived of clean drinking water.

They are living in the land belonging to local Thapa Magar and on May 10 they have lodged complaint at police office for the management of drinking water.

Shani Rishi Dev, 20 from lower cast had married 18 years old woman from Thapa Magar Community. Based on this inter cast marriage incident, the victim’s families were being discriminated by the Thapa Magar community.

Over the issue of inter cast marriage, the girl’s family had destroyed their hand water pump and deprived them of clean drinking water according to Deep Narayan Rishidev.

The victims said that they had destroyed their hand pump and even put cow excrete and stones in the water pipe line .

Ward chair Rewati Narayan Chaudhary of Budhiganga Rural Municipality-2 said that the act of closing the water resource is a inhumane behavior and said that the victim will be immediately provided with relief.
