Ajay Kumar Sah, a resident of Chhiparmai Rural Municipality-3 of Birgunj, has alleged Narayan Dhwaj Malla, the ward chairperson of Galkot Municipality-5, of beating him on April 20.
Sah said that he filed complaints on the same day at Area Police office but that the police have not even questioned the accused so far.
Shah had signed an agreement with the contractor to let the workers continue the work by maintaining the social distance. Ward Chairperson Narayan Dhwaj Malla said that such a situation was created after the workers disobeyed him when they were reminded not to work during the lockdown and not to sign a work agreement.
