At present, the Covid-19 test laboratory Tamghas is closed as the laboratory employees returned home after not being paid for five months. Gulmi Darwar, Kaligandaki, Satyavati, Chandrakot and Musikot municipalities have not paid the agreed amount as per the decision of the District Disaster Management Committee.
A meeting of the District Disaster Management Committee on June 13, 2020, decided to provide Rs. 1.5 million to each municipality and Rs. 1 million to each village to operate the Covid-19 laboratory and isolation center. However, 10 employees of the laboratory were deprived of their salaries as some local levels have not yet paid. Two lab technologists, three technicians, two assistants, one computer operator, one helper, and one cook have not been paid in the laboratory.
