Police fired 1 round warning shot and 34 rounds of tear gases during a clash between police and workers of Jitpur Simara Sub-metropolitan city-1 Chhatapipara based Triveni Spinning Industry private limited. The clash ensued when police tried to rescue management officials including the chief administrative officer of the industry who were  locked by angry workers inside the office. According to SP Hobindra Bogati of Bara Police, the workers at the industry had been holding 13 management staffs hostage inside the industry for 2 days over various demands including Dashain Bonus. Bogati stated that police rescued all 13 management staffs of the industry and arrested 7 workers including Sanjay Yadav of Parsa Birgunj Sub-Metropolitan 32, Om Prakash Mishra, Manoj Yadav of Prarsagadhi Municipality 5. According to Bogati, 10 police sustained injury during the clash with the workers.
