The victims of Godar incident have jointly lodged a complaint at Local Peace Committee, Dhanusha on June 13.
The victim’s family of five youth from Janakpur, who were disappeared and killed during Maoist insurgency, had jointly lodged a complaint against former SSP Chuda Bahadur Shrestha, chief Janakpur Zonal Police Office, CDO Rewati Raj Kafle, SP Kuber Singh Rana of DPO and Major Anup Adhikari of Dharapani barrack of Bhiman according to victim Rajiv Karna.
From victim’s part, Bimala Devi, Gayatri Devi, Indira Devi, Jivachhi Mandal and BauaRam Yadav had jointly lodged a complaint at Local Peace Committee office.
Karna said that the victims had lodged a complaint after TRC called to lodge complaints through local peace committee for justice and reparations.
The then security forces had arrested Shailendra Yadav of Duhabi-7, Sanjeev Karna of Janakpur Municipality-10, Durgesh Laav, Jitendra Jha of Janakpur Municipality-4 and Pramod Narayan Mandal of Kurtrha-1 from Kataiya Chauri of Janakpur Municipality-4 on September 18, 2003, and enforcedly disappeared.
The bodies of all five victims were exhumed from the bank of Kamala River at Godar-3 led by a team from the National Human Rights Commission from September 6, 2010, to September 18.
The human skeletons that were exhumed from the site were jointly cremated on 2014, July 23 after the DNA test confirms the identity of all five victims.
