The Local Peace Committee of the district has demanded to provide relief to those conflict victims who were recommended previously. In an interaction program at Ghorahi on June 14 with a team from the Peace and Reconstruction Ministry Fund, the members of Local Peace Committee demanded the relief for the victims. “The call for application was made several times. Even the names of victims were recommended after investigation, “said member Bom Bahadur DC of Peace Committee. According to him many of them did not get any relief. In Dang, recommendations of relief for 4286 victims were made four times previously, however only 1169 of them received the relief according to the Peace Committee. Information officer of Peace and Reconstruction Ministry Fund, Roshani Adhikari had shown her commitment to alert the ministry in this issue. A discussion program was held in a district regarding the situation of conflict victims in the district and their complaints at TRC and CIED.
