Victims of Nepal’s decade-long Maoist war on Sunday staged a sit-in in front of the nation’s central administrative complex in Singha Darbar demanding justice. The protest was organised on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the conflict. According to a conflict victim leader Gyanendra Aran, the protest was organised as the pains of the victims had not been addressed yet. He said the war anniversary was the day of mourning and pain for the victims. The victims had also demanded action against those involved in gross human rights violations during the conflict including the implementation of related Supreme Court verdicts.
