Conflict victims have demanded their sustainable rehabilitation. Bishna Bista, 60, of Shrikedar in Dogadakedar village, said her only 22-year-old son was killed by insurgents during the conflict and there was no one to take care of her in her old age. Gojdi Bohara, who is over 60 years old in Dasharathchanda Municipality-2, Dehimadu, is also worried about how to survive after getting old. He said that the government should make arrangements. Ram Rana of Kotpetra in Dilashani village also lost his son during the conflict. Rana, who reaches the district headquarters every year for relief, complained that the government has not been able to bring sustainable management programs for the conflict victims despite receiving relief money. Conflict victims have accused the government of failing to come up with a program that would allow them to manage sustainable rehabilitation. Dharmananda Bhatta of Dilashani Village Municipality-1, Ramala said that programs should be brought to provide easy access to education, health and employment to the conflict-affected families. One hundred and seventy-one people have lost their lives and 25 others have gone missing in Baitadi during the armed conflict.
