Nepal Students Union staged a demonstration at Chandrapur, Rautahat on May 31 against the amnesty and release of Bal Krishna Dhungel. Dhungel who was convicted of war crime during the 10 years long Maoist Armed Conflict in Nepal was released by the government for "good behavior" during his term. नेपाल विद्यार्थी संघ रौतहटले हत्याको आरोपमा जेल सजाय भोगेका बालकृष्ण ढुंगेललाई सरकारले आममाफी दिएको भन्दै मंगलबर चन्द्रनिगाहपुरमा प्रदर्शन गरेको छ।नेविसंघ उज्जनकुमार श्रेष्ठको हत्यामा संलग्न भएको आरोपमा जेल सजाय भोगिरहेका पूर्वसभासद ढुंगेललाई आममाफी दिएको विरोधमा प्रदर्शन गरेको हो। प्रदर्शनमा नेविसंघ रौतहटका अध्यक्ष श्यामहरि चौलागाइले तत्कालिन माओवादी नेता बालकृष्ण ढुंगेललाई कैद माफी दिने सरकारको निर्णयप्रति आपत्ति जनाए ।
