Nepal Army defused a socket bomb found near the media premises inside the Darchula Development Organization (DDO) on March 16. The Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was found while digging in the field. Offices of Sarathi Media Group, Naya Nepal FM, and newspapers are inside the DDO. According to District Police Office Darchula, the bomb was defused by the bomb disposal squad of the Satrubhancjan Battalion. The bomb is suspected to have been kept during the armed conflict period. The site is near to the District Police Office in Khalanga.
