Karnali, Dolpa, Chharka Tangsong

Dolpa is one of the districts most affected by the Maoists' decade-long insurgency. The local peace committee in Dolpa has so far received 30 complaints about the violations of human rights dating back to the period. The received complaints will be forwarded to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC), the transitional justice mechanism formed to look after the wartime incidents, the Committee Office said. Of the complaints filed by the conflict survivors, most are about alleged injustice from the stateside and are followed by the incidents of property looting, Committee Secretary Dev Singh Kathayat said.
